Our Dustmaster 10,000 installations in action

ATEX

The filtered air has a very low residual dust content (<1mg/Nm³) and may be returned to the room in many circumstances. A HEPA filter module is optionally available for even lower residual dust content.

The modular design allows maximum flexibility in set-up options and air volumes. The capacity of the Dustmaster DM10,000-compact runs up to 5,500m³/h. The Dustmaster DM10.000-compact comes standard with a quiet and energy-efficient integrated fan. The collected dust is collected in a 70L dust container on wheels.

For collecting larger dust volumes, you can choose an 85L drum on wheels or a rotary sluice, whether or not combined with a bigbag. Upon request, the switch and control box is mounted directly on the Dustmaster so that you can immediately commission the DM10.000-compact.

A key feature of the DM10.000-compact is the use of a generously sized filter housing with integrated pre-separation chamber. In the pre-separation chamber, dirty air is directed to the dust outlet, resulting in a quiet air flow, low air velocity in the filter unit and more efficient dust separation. Application of this technique ensures less wear and tear and longer filter life. The result: a lower total cost of ownership.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
00
When is the Dustmaster 10,000 suitable for my production process?

The Dustmaster 10,000 Compact is designed for industrial processes that run continuously and require reliable dust extraction.

During the baseline assessment, Kiekens assesses factors such as dust load, operating hours, required air volumes, and available space. When a robust filter installation with automatic filter cleaning is needed, the Dustmaster 10,000 can be part of the overall solution.

00
How much air can the Dustmaster 10,000 process?

Depending on the configuration, the Dustmaster 10,000 can process an air volume of up to approximately 5,500 m³/h.

However, the required air volume is not only determined by the number of extraction points. The dust source, duct resistance, and required transport speed also play a role. That's why Kiekens calculates the complete air-technical system during engineering.

00
Why does the Dustmaster 10,000 have a pre-separation chamber?

In the pre-separation chamber, the contaminated air is directed toward the dust discharge. This creates a calmer airflow and reduces the air velocity in the filter unit.

Heavier dust particles can therefore be separated earlier. The lamella filters are subjected to less load, which supports filter lifespan and the operational reliability of the installation.

00
How does the Jet-Pulse cleaning of the Dustmaster 10,000 work?

Each lamella filter is cleaned via its own valve and blow pipe with a powerful blast of compressed air. The intelligent control system adapts the cleaning to the filter load.

This means compressed air is not used unnecessarily, and filtration remains stable during continuous operation. This is particularly important for continuity in processes with a high or prolonged dust load.

00
What residual dust emission is achievable with the Dustmaster 10,000?

Depending on the selected filter material, residual dust levels of less than 0.5 mg/m³ and, in certain versions, even less than 0.1 mg/m³ are achievable. During engineering, Kiekens determines which filter version fits the emission requirements and the production process.

00
When is a HEPA filter module needed?

When a lower residual dust level or additional protection against very fine particles is needed, a HEPA filter module can be applied.

During the baseline assessment, our specialists determine whether this additional filtration step is actually necessary. This prevents an installation from being unnecessarily over-engineered while still ensuring the required air quality.

00
What filter materials are possible for difficult dust types?

The Dustmaster 10,000 can be equipped with various lamella filters, including PE, PE with PTFE coating, PE-AS, PE-AS with PTFE coating, ePTFE, and ePTFE-AS. This allows filtration to be tailored to, among other things, dust properties, emission requirements, temperature, and explosion safety. During the baseline assessment, Kiekens determines which filter material best fits the production process.

00
How is the separated dust discharged?

By default, the dust can be collected in a mobile 70-liter dust bin. For other dust volumes, an 85-liter drum and a rotary valve combined with a big bag are also possible.

Kiekens matches the dust discharge to the volume, the material, and the desired process continuity.

00
Can the Dustmaster 10,000 be used in an ATEX environment?

Yes. The Dustmaster 10,000 Compact can be built according to ATEX 114, directive 2014/34/EU, for hazard zone 22.

For explosive substances, active or passive protection systems may also be required. Which measures are necessary follows from the risk analysis of the entire production and extraction process.

00
How does Kiekens integrate the Dustmaster 10,000 into a complete solution?

The Dustmaster 10,000 can be equipped with an integrated switch and control cabinet and a suitable fan.

Kiekens also handles the engineering of extraction points, ducting, and system control. After installation and commissioning, the filter unit therefore becomes not a standalone product, but a working part of the production process.
